PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Our in‑depth PALS course prepares clinicians to recognize and manage life‑threatening pediatric emergencies with confidence and skill. Combining up‑to‑date pediatric physiology review with hands‑on practice, the program covers rapid assessment, age‑specific airway management, recognition and treatment of respiratory failure and shock, arrhythmia identification, vascular access techniques, and the appropriate selection and dosing of emergency medications for infants and children.

Participants engage in pediatric case‑based simulations that recreate common and uncommon critical scenarios—sepsis, anaphylaxis, respiratory arrest, and bradycardia—practicing team roles, communication, and leadership during high‑stress events. The course also emphasizes prevention and early recognition of deterioration, post‑resuscitation stabilization, and safe transfer of pediatric patients. Typically including pre‑course materials, instructor‑led skill stations, timed pediatric megacode simulations, and structured debriefings, the training strengthens clinical decision‑making, teamwork, and situational awareness.

Completion readies providers for PALS certification or renewal and enhances their ability to deliver timely, evidence‑based care to infants and children in emergency and inpatient settings.
